About Us

Bridge to Independence (BTI) Day Program is a trusted day support program for adults with acquired brain injuries. Certified by the State of Oregon for over 20 years, BTI offers meaningful engagement and a welcoming, supportive community.

Located on a peaceful rural farm in Cornelius, BTI provides members with opportunities to care for farm animals, and take part in both productive and playful outdoor and indoor activities. Activities are centered around five key skill areas: Cognition, Language, Functional Skills, Physical/Environmental Skills, and Social/Emotional-Spiritual Skills. While the program is structured, participation is flexible—allowing each member to engage at a level that is both enjoyable and beneficial.

BTI is committed to supporting each participant’s growth, independence, and integration into the community. Our goal is to foster joy, purpose, and a strong sense of belonging. As one member shared, “This is the place I get my support—where people really understand and care about me.”

At Bridge to Independence, we celebrate individuality and empower members to build the lives they envision for themselves

Our Values

At Bridge to Independence, we prioritize:

  • A welcoming, judgment-free environment
  • Community, connection, and enjoyment
  • Choice and autonomy
  • Skill development tailored to each person’s needs
  • Building confidence and self-esteem

Whether members are working toward personal goals, exploring new hobbies, or simply enjoying time with others in a supportive setting, our goal is to make each day purposeful, productive, and fun.

Some members have been attending BTI for many years. Members can attend indefinitely or use it as a stepping stone for their next step in their journey.
